Refund Policy
Last updated: 7 September 2026
Vidimator is a product of UA Technologies. This policy explains when you can get your money back, how to ask, and how long it takes. It applies to every plan and every one-off purchase made on vidimatr.com.
Try before you pay
Vidimator has a permanently free tier. The Rough Cut plan requires no card and no trial period, and lets you render real videos before deciding whether to pay for anything. We recommend using it first — most refund requests are avoided by confirming the output suits your channel before a charge is made.
Subscription plans
Paid plans (Broadcast and Studio) are billed in advance for each billing period and renew automatically unless you turn renewal off.
- We email you before every renewal charge, so a renewal should never be a surprise.
- You can cancel at any time from your profile page. Cancelling stops future charges. It does not end your current period — you keep everything you have already paid for until that period ends.
- Because access continues to the end of the paid period, we do not normally prorate or refund the unused remainder of a period you chose to cancel.
Refund window
If you are unhappy with a charge, contact us within 7 days of that charge and we will refund it in full, provided you have not substantially used the period's render allowance.
We will also refund a charge in full, regardless of usage, where it was clearly unintended — a duplicate payment, a renewal after a cancellation request, or a charge to a card you did not authorise.
Top-up packs
Top-up renders are a one-off purchase rather than a subscription. They are used only after your plan's own monthly allowance is exhausted, they cover both videos and Shorts, and they do not expire — unused top-ups carry over indefinitely, including across plan changes.
Unused top-up packs can be refunded within the window above. Once renders from a pack have been used, we refund the unused balance rather than the whole pack.
Failed renders are not charged
If a render fails for a technical reason on our side, your allowance is restored automatically — the failed render is credited back to whichever pool it was drawn from, with no need to contact us. You are never billed separately per render, so a failed render costs you nothing.
If you believe an allowance was not restored correctly, tell us and we will correct it.
What is not refundable
- Periods that have already been fully used, outside the window above.
- Charges disputed more than 7 days after the payment date, except where required by law.
- Dissatisfaction with footage, narration or captions where the output matches what the plan describes. If the product did not do what we said it does, that is a refundable fault — tell us what happened and we will look at it.
How to request a refund
Email from the address on your Vidimator account, with:
- the date and amount of the charge,
- the payment reference from your receipt, and
- a sentence on what went wrong.
You do not need to cancel your plan before requesting a refund, and requesting one does not delete your account or your rendered videos.
How long it takes
- We respond to refund requests within RESPONSE TIME — e.g. 2-5 business days.
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. We cannot refund to a different card or account.
- Once issued, the money typically reaches you within 24-48hrs, depending on your bank or card issuer. That final step is controlled by them, not by us.
Chargebacks
If something looks wrong, please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback takes weeks to resolve and usually suspends the account while it is open. We can almost always resolve the same issue faster directly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version that applies to a purchase is the one published on the date of that purchase, and material changes will not be applied retroactively to charges already made.
